The U.S. and India are expected to deepen cooperation in defense and technology as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi kicks off his two-day visit to Washington. Modi was welcomed by U.S. President Joe Biden at the White House on Wednesday, where he met with Washington's top business leaders. Professor Zhang Jiadong, director of the Center for South Asian Studies at Fudan University, says that Modi's visit will further promote India-U.S. ties.
